Student Activities

The department has bachelor, master and doctorate programs. The teaching excellence and superb research accomplishments are reputable which outstanding students yearn for. Since the department was founded, the undergraduate department’s enrollment ranking has always been at the top among other related departments from other universities. Students seeking for higher level education choose the graduate program (master and doctorate) as their first priority in Taiwan. At present, the department comprises of 446 undergraduate students, 269 master students and 135 doctorate students.

Talents trained by the department exert a major influence on the world. At the same time, students also have extensive interdisciplinary knowledge and extracurricular activity experiences, including presenting their research work at technology forums, conferences, and showcasing their work at creative contests. There are also various students-organized social activities such as materials nights, freshmen camps, physical education activities and competitions in the department. The department also regularly holds materials science camps for senior high school students to attract talented, energetic students and driven them to join us.
